How to Delete Your LinkedIn Account – Simple guide

For Mobile App

1. Open the LinkedIn app
2. Select “Settings”
3. Tap on “Account preferences
4. Tap on “Close account”
5. Tap “Continue” to proceed
6. Select a reason for closing your account
7. Enter your LinkedIn password and confirm your request.

For Desktop

1. Log in to your LinkedIn account
2. Click on your profile picture
3. Select “Settings & Privacy”
4. Select “Account management” 
5. confirm your decision
6. Verify your identity.
7. confirm your request.

Deleting your LinkedIn Account simply means you won’t have access to the account again. There are two ways to delete your LinkedIn account: through a web browser or through the LinkedIn mobile app. Here’s how to do it on both:

Using the LinkedIn Mobile App:

Step one: Open the LinkedIn app and tap on your profile picture in the top left corner.

Step two:  Select “Settings” from the menu.

Step three: Tap on “Account preferences”.

Step four: Scroll down and tap on “Close account” under “Account management.”.

Step five: Tap “Continue” to proceed with closing your account.

Step six: Select a reason for closing your account and tap “Next”.

Step seven: Enter your LinkedIn password and tap “Done” to confirm your request.

Using a web browser:

Step one: Log in to your LinkedIn account.

Step two: Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen.

Step three: Select “Settings & Privacy” from the menu.

Step four:  Scroll down to the “Account management” section and click on “Close account”.

Step five: You will be asked to confirm your decision and select a reason for closing your account. Choose the option that best fits your situation or select “Other”.

Step Six: Enter your LinkedIn password to verify your identity.

Step Seven: Click “Close account” to confirm your request.

Important things to note before Deleting your LinkedIn Account:

• Once you close your LinkedIn account, you will lose access to all of your data, including your profile, connections.
  
• It may take up to 72 hours for your account to be completely delete.
  
• If you change your mind about closing your account, you can reactivate it within 20 days by following the instructions in the confirmation email you will receive from LinkedIn.
