How to change name on MeWe On Computer (Web Browsers)
- Sign in to MeWe account > Goto Profile
- Select “Settings” from the menu.
- Select “My Account.”
- Choose the pencil icon next to the “Name” field after finding it.
- In the corresponding fields, update your last and first names.
- Click “Save changes” to make the new name effective.
How to Edit Name on MeWe On the Mobile app (Android or iOS)
- Launch the MeWe app > Sign in
- Tap on your profile picture > Tap the gear icon (Settings)
- Select “My Account” from the list
- Find the “Name” section and tap on the edit icon (pencil)
- Enter your desired first and last name in the designated fields
- Tap “Change name” to confirm the changes
On a computer:
Step 1: Open MeWe on your preferred browser and sign in to your account.
Step: Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen.
Step 4: Select “Settings” from the menu.
Step 5: Select “My Account” by clicking on it in the left side column.
Step 6: Choose the pencil icon next to the “Name” field after finding it.

Step 6: Enter your desired first and last name in the designated fields
Step 7: Tap “Change name” to confirm the changes

You can only change your name once every 30 days.
Editing your Universal Handle (similar to a username) is currently unavailable on MeWe.
If you haven’t transitioned your account to “The Social Web,” you’ll need to wait 60 days before changing your name again.
