4. Type in your email address > select Update my age information on the How We Can Help Box

6. Write a brief description why you need to update your birthdate and confirm
7. Click submit

You have to be sure you have the following before submitting your request:

1. A valid government-issued photo ID
2.  A clear image of you holding your official ID from the government and a sheet of paper with your entire Discord username and tag (username #discriminator) on it.

Steps to Submitting a Change in Birthday Request

FOR PC

1. Open your web browser using this link: https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/requests/new 

2. Click on “Submit a request.”

3. On the rectangular bar, click the arrow and select “Appeals and age update request.”

4. Kindly enter the email address you used to open the Discord account.

5. On the “How can we help?” box, select “Update my age information”.

6. Enter your phone number (optional) and your date of birth. 

7. Make a headline that says, “Request for Age Update” in the ‘Subject’ box. 

8. Compose a brief description, explaining your need for an updated birthdate.

9. Review and confirm all information is accurate.

10. Click “Submit” to send your request.

11. After submitting your request, Discord’s Trust & Safety team will review your request and verify the information you provided.

This process might take some time, so be patient while waiting for a response. 

If your request is approved, you’ll receive an email notification confirming the update.

FOR MOBILE

1. Open the Discord app and click on the icon displaying your profile picture. 

2. You will be directed to the ‘User Settings’ page. Here, scroll down and click on ‘Support’.

3. When you click “Support’, you will be directed to a web page.

4. On this page, click on the hamburger icon.

5. Click on ‘Submit a request’.

6. You will be directed to a page. There, select the drop-down icon.

7. Select ‘Appeals and Age Update Requests’

8. Enter the email address you used in creating your Discord account.

9. Click on the drop-down button on ‘How can we help?’ and click on ‘Update my age information’.

10. Enter your correct ‘Date of birth’.

11. Enter the subject of your request.

12. Type out your description.

13. Tick the box to confirm that you have read the instructions. 

14. Click on ‘Submit’.

15. You will receive a notification saying your process has been completed.
